Naad — Account & Data Deletion
Effective Date: August 23, 2026
Last Updated: August 23, 2026
Naad is developed and operated by Tanay Kolvekar, an individual developer registered on the Google Play Developer Console. This page explains how you can request deletion of your Naad account, and what happens to your data when you do.
See also our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
1. How to delete your account (in the app)
You can delete your Naad account directly from within the app:
- Open the Naad app and log in.
- Go to About Us, accessible from the home screen's app bar.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion in the warning dialog that appears.
Your account and the associated data described in Section 3 below are deleted upon confirmation.
2. Alternative: request deletion by email
If you're unable to access the app, or need help, you can instead request deletion by:
- Emailing tanaykolvekar@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" from your registered email address.
We will process email deletion requests within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law, except where we are required to retain certain data for legal or regulatory purposes.
3. What data is deleted
Deleting your account removes the following account data associated with it:
- First name and last name
- Phone number
- City and state
- Login credentials associated with your account
4. What data may be retained, and for how long
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Some non-account data described below is not deleted immediately and follows its own retention schedule.
- Firebase Analytics data (device info, app usage events, crash logs, Advertising ID, and approximate IP-based location) is collected via Google Analytics for Firebase and is not directly tied to your account, so it is not deleted at the time of account deletion. It is instead retained according to the Firebase Analytics data retention setting configured for this app (commonly 2 or 14 months from collection), after which Google automatically deletes or anonymizes it.
- Any data Naad is legally required to retain (for example, under applicable Indian law) will be kept only for as long as required by that law, even after account deletion.
For more detail on the data we collect and how it's used, see our Privacy Policy.
